ABOUT ROSE CITY BMX

Rose City BMX is a nonprofit organization. Our facility is located at Freeman Park in Richmond Indiana. The BMX facility was developed in 1978. Our organization has hosted several regional-national competition and state competitions along with schedule local events. As a sponsor of Rose City BMX you r organized will be recognized at all events at the track on a banner of sponsors and will be announced during racing events. We also like to put our sponsors on our Rose City BMX schedules that are past out to the community. For large event Rose City BMX advertises on the radio. Local television channels play some Rose City BMX event on the television in which your organization will be mentioned as a sponsor.

In order to have a safe facility and one that is national caliber. Rose City BMX rebuilds sections of the track every year if needed. Rebuilding the track consist of renting machinery, purchasing dirt and new equipment. Someday owning our own equipment is a dream of Rose City BMX for maintenance. So we must rent the machinery and that gets expensive. We also have to purchase shovels, rakes, and other required hand tools. Plus we add calcium chloride to the track to harden and help keep the smoothness that cost us $200.00 each time we do it.

Rose City is seeking sponsorship for this race season. If you are not familiar with what BMX is, here is a description. The sport of motocross began in the early 1970’s in the southern California. A handful of riders started riding their bicycles off the road in vacant lots and fields. Not much competition but lots of fun. Today the sport of bicycle motocross is sweeping the country and the world. There are over 150,000 riders of all ages from kids old enough to ride a bicycle up to people in their 50’s racing in organized races at permanent tracks across the world. BMX racing is exciting and fun for families involved as a racer, spectators pit crew or track volunteers.
